The Biology Content Curation project fulfills a need where the Biology 112 and 121 instructors were looking for Open Educational Resources to support their flipped classroom model. They wanted to develop a content curation process to store and preserve learning objects that could be used for their courses.
Over a two month period and by partnering with the library, a process was developed to: search OERs, identify content, and have faculty approve content to be shared across their department. Project documentation is open access and available here.
This PowerPoint presentation was presented at the Biology Teaching Retreat in July and gives an overview of the work completed in June and July 2014.
