Canadian Science Documentaries

Did you know that UBC has streaming access to thousands of movies? These include recent and popular titles, educational content, and discipline-specific films. One notable film resource is the National Film Board of Canada (NFB) Campus portal, which contains over 3,000 films, including documentaries, animations and interactive productions. We have curated a list of feature-length Canadian science documentaries produced by the NFB, ranging in subject from wild caribou tracking and monarch butterflies to organ transplants and the environmental impacts of mining. Click on the images below to check out these films, or visit the UBC Library Streaming Media subject guide to find more resources.
